stekIn samenwerking met HomeDeco schreef ik met een collega styliste een blog over het indelen van een woonkamer met een u-indeling. Er is blijkbaar veel vraag naar tips over het indelen van zo’n kamer. Ik maakte een interieurontwerp met de collectie van HomeDeco en uiteraard kunnen interieurtips niet ontbreken.
Het indelen van een u-vormige kamer kan lastig zijn. Vaak wordt de zithoek in de uiterste hoek geplaatst, maar dat kan de zithoek klein maken of een beetje wegstoppen in het hoekje. Vaak houd je dan veel open ruimte over in het midden van de kamer. Zonde om die ruimte alleen maar te gebruiken om te lopen of wanneer er visite is.
Mijn tip zou zijn om de zithoek juist in die open ruimte te zetten. Op deze plattegrond ga ik uit van een kleine woonkamer en dan is dat wellicht een niet zo waarschijnlijke keuze, maar je zichtlijnen naar buiten en naar de eetkamer en de tuin blijven veel ruimtelijker. Bovendien is de ruimte achter de bank heel geschikt voor een speeltafel, een thuiswerkplek of een mooie kast om spulletjes op te bergen. Zo is die speelruimte of werkplek ’s avonds ook uit het zicht.
Een open wandkast zoals de Lifa living is uiteraard heel mooi tegen de lange wand (tussen het tv meubel en de eetkamer), maar het is juist ook een hele geschikte roomdivider. Zo kan je met een kast en behang dat je vanaf die kast tot aan de muur van de tuindeuren/ramen behangt een hele andere look en feel geven aan het eetgedeelte en het breekt gelijk die lange muur.
In deze indeling koos ik voor een ronde eettafel omdat ik hou van anders, maar een rechthoekige eettafel kan natuurlijk net zo goed in deze opstelling. Wil je meer loopruimte creëren, kies dan voor een zitbank langs de muur. Hierdoor kan je de tafel meer richting de muur schuiven.
Kleuradvies
Dit zijn de kleuren die ik heb uitgekozen voor de muur. Spider mum van Vestingh Paint heb ik gekozen als basis voor alle muren. Durf eens af te stappen van witte muren. Met deze kleur krijg je zoveel meer warmte in huis en het is toch heel veilig, zoals veel mensen dat graag zien. Voor in de kinderhoek achter de bank koos ik voor Diamond Dust. Een warme vintage roze kleur waardoor de speelruimte mooi afgebakend wordt en de groene bank er mooi tegen af steekt.
Om het eetgedeelte een hele andere look en feel te geven, koos ik voor het HK living behang Vintage Reeds te koop bij HomeDeco. De kleuren uit het behang komen ook terug in de muurverf en daardoor blijft alles toch een geheel.
